About this chart
This chart ranks songs by independent artists on radio (released in the last 24 months) by verified spins, up to 50 per station, drawn from 1,025,997 verified spins logged over the last 7 days across our network of 6,700+ monitored stations — FM broadcasters streaming online, SiriusXM channels, and internet radio. Every play is captured from a station's live feed with its exact timestamp and matched to the recording by title, artist and ISRC, so positions reflect actual airplay — no submissions, votes, or pay-for-placement. This week, 100 tracks by 89 artists made the chart.
Current songs only: songs released in the last 24 months are ranked. Older catalog songs keep their airplay pages and play counts but don't take chart positions, so the chart reflects what is current on radio. A song whose release date we don't know yet is ranked. Release date wrong? Tell us.
One station can't carry a song: Each station counts at most 50 plays of a song per chart week, so a station looping a track can't push it up the chart. "Plays" still shows every play we logged, so a song can sit above one with more plays when its airplay is spread across more stations.
What counts as independent here: a song whose release label is not owned by one of the three major label groups — Sony Music, Universal Music Group or Warner Music Group — including their imprints (Columbia, RCA, Epic, Republic, Interscope, Capitol, Def Jam, Atlantic, Elektra and the rest) — and not one of the large independent-owned label companies either (BMG and its BBR labels, Big Machine, Big Loud, Concord). Artists who have released music on a major label are left out even when a later release is on their own label. The label comes from the release data we hold for each recording; songs whose label we have not identified yet are not ranked, and a label that is mis-filed can be corrected — tell us.
The chart week runs Saturday to Saturday (Oct 10 – Oct 17) and publishes Sundays at 6 PM ET. ▲▼ movement compares each position with the previous week's frozen snapshot; "New Entry" marks a debut and "Re-Entry" a return; "Peak" is the best position a song reached and "wks" the weeks it has spent on this chart, counted since October 2026, when weekly chart history began. "Plays" counts a track's spins in the window, and "stations" counts how many distinct stations aired it — a song with fewer plays across more stations often signals wider rotation than one hammered by a single station.
Click any position to see that song's full airplay history — every station and timestamp behind its chart run, plus its airplay map.
