Getting your music heard
SpinCounts gives you two ways to get your track in front of radio β a free way to get discovered, and a paid campaign that actively pitches your single to stations for airplay.

Add your track to the SpinCounts catalog and our genre charts so DJs and programmers browsing the platform can find it. Free, no account required.

A paid campaign puts your single on the homepage Campaign Spotlight and submits it to genre-matched stations for airplay consideration β with weekly airplay reports.
Start a campaign βHow an Airplay Campaign works
- You submit your track. Paste your Spotify link and we pull in the title, artist, artwork and audio preview automatically. Choose a campaign length (1, 2, or 3 months) and check out securely.
- Upload your song file. Add the full audio file (MP3, WAV, M4Aβ¦) so stations that add your track can download it straight into their playlist. You can do this on the submit form, or any time afterward from your dashboard. (Optional, but stations can't add a track they can't play β so don't skip it.)
- We match it to the right stations. As soon as your campaign goes live, SpinCounts automatically finds stations that actually play your genre β ranked by their real airplay history, not guesswork β and delivers your track to their inbox.
- Stations review your track. Each matched station sees your song in their Airplay Pitches inbox with a preview, and chooses to Add to rotation (which lets them download your file) or pass.
- You track everything from your dashboard. Your campaign card shows how many stations your track was submitted to, the status of each one, and your weekly airplay numbers.
Heads up: stations see your pitch inside their SpinCounts dashboard β we don't cold-email them on your behalf. That keeps it spam-free and means the stations checking their inbox are genuinely browsing for new music.
Following your campaign
Open your dashboard. On each active campaign card you'll see:
- Submitted to N matched stations β how many stations your track was delivered to. Click See stations for the full list.
- A status next to each station:
- Delivered β your track is in that station's inbox, waiting to be opened. (This is in their SpinCounts dashboard β not an email.)
- Reviewing β the station opened your track and is considering it.
- Added β the station added your track to its rotation and can download your file. π
- Passed β not a fit for that station this time.
- Upload / Replace track file β add or swap the song file stations download. Do this if you skipped it at checkout.
- Weekly airplay report β spins, station count, and movement, emailed to you every 7 days while your campaign runs.
Tips for the best results
- Use your Spotify link so your artwork, genre, and preview come through clean.
- Upload your full song file β stations can only add a track they can actually play. This is the difference between a station saying "nice" and a station spinning it.
- Make sure your track's genre is accurate β that's how we match you to the right stations.
- Renewing before your campaign ends adds time to your current run (it never resets the clock).
Common questions
Does "Added" guarantee airplay?
It means a station added your track to its rotation for consideration. SpinCounts surfaces your music and tracks real spins β final programming decisions always belong to each station.
How many stations will my track reach?
We pitch to every station that matches your genre β every outlet that programs your style of music, whether that's a handful or a few hundred. The bigger your genre's footprint on SpinCounts, the more stations get your track.
When do the pitches go out?
Automatically, the moment your campaign goes live after checkout.
What's the difference from the free submission?
The free submission lists your track for discovery. A campaign actively pitches it to stations, spotlights it on the homepage, and gives you weekly airplay reports.
Do stations get my actual song?
Only if you upload it. When you add your song file, any station that adds your track to rotation gets a Download button to pull the file for their playlist. Your file is only available to stations your track was matched to β it's never posted publicly.
What's a Live Link?
A Live Link ($99.99, one-time) unlocks the full 7-Day Station Spin Grid on your track's public page for 3 months β every station that played it, spins per day, and totals, updated automatically. Anyone you share the page with sees the full data, no account needed. Every active Airplay Campaign includes it free.

How to claim your station
Your station is probably already listed on SpinCounts β we track its airplay automatically. Claiming proves you're the one who manages it and unlocks your dashboard, Airplay Pitches, and analytics. It's free, takes about a minute, and always finishes with one click in an email so we know it's really you.

Claim your station βThe steps
- Find your station. Search for it on the Claim your station page β or just click the "Claim your station" button in an invitation email if we sent you one.
- Sign in or create a free account. You'll need a quick SpinCounts account so your station has an owner. It's free.
- Tell us a little about the station. Confirm your name, your role (owner, PD, managerβ¦), and the best contact email. This helps us verify you and keep your listing accurate.
- Confirm with one click in your email. We send a confirmation link. Click the button in that email and your station unlocks immediately. Nothing is granted until you click β that's how we keep stations secure.
Which email you'll get β and where it lands
What happens after you submit depends on what we already have on file. There are three possibilities:
- You clicked an invitation from us. If you started from a "Claim your station" invite email, that link already proves it's you β you're verified instantly and land straight in your dashboard. No second email needed.
- We have your station's contact email on file. We email a confirmation link to the station's listed address (subject: "Confirm your SpinCounts station claim"). Open that inbox, click the button, and you're in. This protects your station β only someone with access to its email can claim it.
- We don't have a contact email for your station. Your request goes to our team for a quick manual review (usually same day). Once we approve it, we email a confirmation link to your account address (subject: "Confirm your email to finish claimingβ¦"). Click it to finish.
π¬ What to expect in your inbox
- Emails come from SpinCounts <info@spincounts.com> β add it to your contacts so it doesn't get filtered.
- The confirmation link is good for 7 days. After that, just start the claim again to get a fresh one.
- You only click one link. We'll never ask for a password or payment to claim a station β it's always free.
After you confirm
The instant you click the link, your station is yours. Head to My Station and you'll have your Airplay Pitches inbox, your rotation analytics, and the ability to keep your listing's details up to date. Here's how the pitches inbox works π
Airplay Pitches β discover new music
Artists pay to submit their tracks to SpinCounts for airplay consideration. We only ever show your station the tracks that match the music you actually play β so your inbox stays relevant, never spammy.
Where to find your pitches
- Open your dashboard. Sign in and go to My Station. If artists have submitted tracks that match your station, you'll see an Airplay Pitches section at the top.
- Preview each track. Every pitch shows the song, artist, artwork, and a built-in audio preview so you can hear it in seconds β no downloads, no leaving the page.
- Decide: Add or Pass. Hit οΌ Add to rotation for tracks you want, or Pass on the rest.
- Download the track. The moment you add a track, the button flips to β¬ Download track β grab the artist's audio file and drop it straight into your playlist. (If the artist hasn't uploaded their file yet, you'll see a note and can grab it once they do.)
What the match labels mean
- Strong match β your station already plays a lot of this genre. The closest fit.
- Genre match β the track's genre lines up with your station's declared format.
- Suggested β a broader suggestion from active tracks on the network.
Good to know
- It's completely free for stations. Airplay Pitches is a discovery tool β there's no cost and no obligation to play anything.
- "Add to rotation" isn't a contract. It signals you're considering the track and unlocks the download. What you actually broadcast is always your call.
- You get the real audio file. No chasing artists for a download link β adding a track gives you the file the artist uploaded, ready for your playlist.
- Why these tracks? Every pitch is matched to the genres your station actually plays, based on your real airplay history on SpinCounts.
- Your responses help artists. When you Add a track, the artist sees that a station picked up their music β exactly the feedback independent artists are looking for.
Common questions
How do I claim my station, and is it free?
Search for it on the Claim your station page, sign in, and confirm with the one-click link we email you. It's completely free β see How to claim your station above for the full walk-through.
I claimed it but didn't get the confirmation email.
Check your spam/junk folder and search for "spincounts". Make sure you're looking in the right inbox β if your station had a contact email on file, the link goes there, not necessarily to your personal address. Links expire after 7 days, so if it's been longer just start the claim again. Still stuck? Contact us and we'll verify you by hand.
Someone says my station is "already claimed."
Each station has a single owner. If that's not you (or it was claimed in error), email support and we'll sort it out.
How often will I get new pitches?
New pitches appear whenever an artist runs a campaign with a track that matches your station's genres. There's no flood β only relevant matches.
Do I have to respond?
No. Pitches are there when you want to browse new music. Acting on them is always optional.
How do I get the actual song to play it?
Hit Add to rotation and a Download track button appears β that's the artist's audio file, ready for your playlist. No emails, no chasing links.
Will artists see my contact details?
No. Artists only see whether a matched station Delivered / Reviewing / Added / Passed β never your private contact information.
